August photo

The August photo of the month comes from Wilson, a small town in Northeastern Arkansas.
I visited 10 Arkansas State Parks on this long weekend adventure. The drive to Hampton Archeological State Park was not impressive. After driving hours surrounded by flat fields, out pops Wilson, Arkansas. The beautiful Tudor-style architecture and perfectly landscaped lawns were a welcome surprise.
Wilson is a city in Mississippi County, Arkansas. The community is located in the Arkansas Delta and is surrounded by cropland historically used to produce cotton. Wilson was started in 1886 by Robert E. Lee Wilson, who built a cotton empire. Wilson was incorporated in 1959, becoming a town with public roads and municipal government.
If you’re looking for a charming and historic small town to visit, Wilson, Arkansas is a great option.
